TREND WATCH (PERSIAN RUGS)

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I love a nice rug especially one that adds a bold pop to a room. I have been seeing more and more persian rugs lately especially in unexpected places like bathrooms. Here are four examples of this home decor trend. I love all the shades of pinks and oranges. These rugs liven up a room and all look amazing on the different wood floors. The rooms look more complete and give them a home-y feel. Would you decorate with a bright persian rug?

ETSY FINDS 02

Thursday, February 12, 2015

Alas, another Etsy Finds. I have too many Etsy favorites! Here are a few that have me feeling blue (& green) that my money tree is currently covered in about 6 feet of snow outside! Perfect pastel kitchen decor for a happy kitchen.

1. CurialVintage - Junghans Vintage Clock - I have a thing for vintage wall clocks and this one has me drooling. It's very art deco and the color is just perfection! Somebody please buy this... for me.
2. RossLab - Bowls - Tiny heart bowls. Enough said.
3. BoHelina - Potholders - I just adore these little cloud potholders. They are just the right amount of quirky for the kitchen.
4. Center Ceramics - Mug - This mug is just too cute, color blocking always gets me. I'm also the biggest sucker EVER for mint green.

COLOR CRUSH {MAGENTA}

Thursday, January 8, 2015

1 // 2 // 3 // 4

I have always been obsessed with color. I thought by the time I was old enough to own a home I would be kind of be "over" wanting everything in bright colors. I am in some ways, my style is definitely more refined, but I still am so drawn to bright. So I decided to make a series called color crush, to show how you can use bright colors in unexpected ways. I absolutely LOVE magenta. I think these are four awesome examples of how you can use magenta in & outside of your home and have it still look very clean and mature. A bright couch, a patterned rug, simple organization boxes, or a wall by your pool.
